I tried to make this comparison harder on Monero, not easier. Zcash deserves real credit. When it is fully shielded and used correctly, its zero-knowledge design has the stronger on-chain privacy ceiling. But currencies do not operate in laboratory conditions—they are used by ordinary people through imperfect wallets, exchanges, and transaction paths. Zcash may have the stronger vault. Monero made the vault the entire building. That distinction matters. Privacy requiring the correct address type, wallet behavior, and transaction mode is a powerful feature. Privacy that survives ordinary user behavior is infrastructure. Both systems have had serious bugs, and neither outcome is guaranteed. But Monero’s defaults, fungibility, fair launch, established usage, and permanent security subsidy form the more coherent private-money system. That’s why I still give Monero the edge. Not because its technology is perfect, but because its privacy is structural. I formally apologize to the $ZEC fans. But, I’m a capitalist - not a cultist. $XMR $BTC #privacy
