Solflare is integrating lending yields directly into the wallet—DeFi is entering the default interface. Fewer steps are needed, but risk disclosures must keep pace. ① Solflare has launched Earn, allowing users to supply USDC to the Kamino lending market directly within their wallet. This consolidates what previously required switching to external apps into a unified wallet experience across mobile, web, and browser extensions. ② This reduces user friction—eliminating the need to search for entry points, identify websites, and repeatedly connect. For underlying protocols, wallets now serve as distribution channels to reach stablecoin holders. ③ However, adding a yield button doesn’t change the economic nature of the funds: USDC is deposited into a lending contract, where rates fluctuate with market conditions and should not be interpreted as fixed interest or bank deposits. ④ Product disclosures can typically be dismissed quickly and may take longer during high traffic. Therefore, “no lock-up period” and “instant access under all circumstances” must be understood separately—liquidity risk and contract risk remain the user’s responsibility. My own view: When wallets integrate yield features, clear risk communication becomes a key product differentiator. I prefer interfaces that transparently explain where funds go, exit conditions, and why yields change—not just those that amplify APY numbers. @Solana_zh @solana @solflare @kamino
