Solana just activated its biggest network upgrade since 2020. Alpenglow is designed to cut transaction finality from around 12.8 seconds to roughly 150 milliseconds. That's a massive technical change. If it performs as intended, it could make Solana far more attractive for trading, payments and financial applications that need near-instant settlement.
