SOL yield products are now competing on “how little information to expose.” NEAR and Kamino’s new entry turns privacy from a slogan into a concrete product feature. ① On October 15, NEAR and Kamino confirmed: users can access Kamino’s SOL vault, managed by Gauntlet’s strategy, via a confidential account at https://t.co/1qrKJAPacd, reducing direct exposure of the source wallet to the vault. ② This product still relies on Solana’s lending infrastructure. Do not mistake it for a new native SOL staking reward, nor confuse the platform’s other confidential transaction volumes with the size of this vault. ③ The scope of privacy must also be clarified: according to related infrastructure documentation, settlement transactions on the destination chain, asset amounts, and recipients remain public. Hiding source associations is very different from making an entire DeFi activity completely invisible. ④ The product emphasizes no lock-up period, but yields are variable, and withdrawals remain subject to underlying vault liquidity, contract risks, and cross-system execution risks. “Eligible to withdraw” does not guarantee immediate access under all circumstances. My own assessment: This is more interesting than launching another page offering higher APY. Average users may not need complete anonymity, but they may prefer not to expose their entire wallet history with a single deposit. I’ll continue monitoring whether this privacy boundary can be clearly explained—and whether fund pathways remain verifiable in case of issues.
