The transaction size limit has been increased from 1,232 to 4,096 bytes, as Solana begins to address its短板 in complex transactions. This week, Solana enabled Transaction V1, raising the transaction data limit from 1,232 bytes to 4,096 bytes—more than tripling the capacity. ① Larger transactions can accommodate more accounts, instructions, proofs, and privacy-related data. ② Applications can reduce complexity caused by splitting transactions, address lookup tables, and multiple signatures. ③ Larger transactions also increase pressure on bandwidth, forwarding, and verification—capacity alone is not the full picture. ④ V1 requires coordinated upgrades from wallets, SDKs, RPCs, and applications; backward compatibility with older versions must still be verified individually. My own assessment: The value of this upgrade lies not in standard transfers, but in complex finance, proof systems, and institutional workflows. Solana is simultaneously pursuing lower latency and higher per-transaction expressiveness—the real test will be whether both can remain stable under high load. @Solana_zh @solana @solana_devs @anza_xyz
