Where did @fomo come from? You prolly have to check the feed. Fomo delivered what crypto had been promising for years: • cross-chain compatibility • account abstraction • pay gas in any chain without holding gas • Apple Pay deposits • no seed phrases • social trading + PnL flexing Crypto onboarding built for normies through TikTok. The team came together through dYdX and realized trading was too painful. So they simplified it and added a social layer. The base fee is 0.5%, while Solana can be more expensive. There also seems to be additional slippage. But the fee isn't the interesting part. The social layer is. Fomo turned trading into a game: $1k → $100k challenges, TikToks, copytrading, traders competing for attention, and KOLs becoming part of the product. PumpFun noticed. Both are racing to become the social layer for onchain trading. For now, Fomo is winning. Its download growth is nowhere close to Pump. The real question: is this what crypto looks like when trading becomes a consumer product?
