.@avici (Solana neobank) just got hit. Attacker used an outdated Rain card contract, self-granted admin rights, and drained ~$500k–$1M from 1,685 users’ card balances. Cost of attack: ~$190 in gas. Self-custodial wallets were fine. Card balances were not. Classic reminder: legacy contracts + admin functions = free money for the patient. Full refunds promised. Still a nasty L.
