Solana processed 1.318 billion non-vote transactions in one week—a new record. What does this背后 mean? Network throughput continues to grow, but volume isn’t the full story. ① Solana’s official figures, citing Blockworks data, show the network handled approximately 1.318 billion non-vote transactions in a week, setting a new record. Excluding vote transactions, this number better reflects activity at the application and user level. ② Even so, this figure still includes bots, arbitrage, market making, and automated calls. Therefore, 1.318 billion transactions cannot be directly equated to an equivalent number of human actions, nor to economic value. ③ At the very least, it proves one thing: Solana is operating under real, high load—not just demonstrating theoretical throughput in experimental conditions. Next, transaction volume should be analyzed alongside failure rates, fees, application revenue, and user retention. ④ My own view: Throughput determines how large a chain’s business can scale, but revenue and retention determine whether that business is worth pursuing. Solana has repeatedly proven it can “run”—now the market will increasingly ask: “What is it running?”
