Toss Bank signs MOU with Solana Foundation: Testing Stablecoin Remittances Toss Bank, under Korea’s largest payment platform Toss, has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with the Solana Foundation to test cross-border remittances using Solana-based stablecoins. ① Toss serves tens of millions of users in Korea and serves as the primary payment gateway for everyday transactions. Choosing Solana for stablecoin remittance testing signals that Solana is entering one of East Asia’s most active payment markets. ② Meanwhile, MoneyGram has officially become a Solana validator—not merely running payment products on Solana, but directly contributing to network security. MoneyGram’s CEO publicly stated, “The future of global payments will run on open, interoperable stablecoin rails.” ③ My own take: When you combine Toss and MoneyGram, the message is clear—Solana’s stablecoin payments are evolving from “crypto-native transfers” into “cross-border settlement channels for traditional payment giants.” Toss users may never realize they’re using “blockchain”—they simply notice that remittances are faster and cheaper. This is what mass adoption should look like: users don’t need to understand the underlying technology, only experience the benefits. @solana @Solana_zh @SolanaFndn #TossBank #MoneyGram #Solana #StablecoinPayments
