Seedance 2.5 just raised the bar for AI video control. The latest update adds 30-second full video generation with consistent continuation up to 180 seconds in beta. It supports up to 50 reference inputs, professional workflows with greenscreen optimization, and Blender 3D asset integration through Dreamina’s plugin for precise spatial structure, object paths, and camera motion. It also adds targeted video editing, similar to Gemini Omni-style control. Native 4K was announced earlier, but the current release is limited to 480p/720p generation. 4K remains available only in Seedance 2.0. The trade-off: Seedance 2.5 costs ~1.5× more than its predecessor, making it the most expensive model on the market — a 30-second 720p clip costs $6. Available now on Jimeng AI, Doubao Pro, and Dreamina, with a BytePlus ModelArk API release coming soon. Will the added control justify the premium price for creators?
