No one is talking about Canton since it’s apparently dedicated solely to institutional use but since Jan 2026 they’ve been making between $2.5M and $3M in fees Fees are coming mostly from institutional transactions and network usage rather than DeFi activity According to DeFiLlama’s API, since Jan 1 2026, they have generated around $440M in fees, that's around $807M in annualized fees ! These are network fees: institutions pay in canton-network:native for transaction traffic, setting up a new institution on the network and maintaining payment authorizations All the fees are paid in canton-network:native which is then burned. With a market cap of $5B, that’s a P/E ratio of 6.2x which is EXTREMELY LOW So why isn't the chart mooning ? 🤨 Maybe because it’s only designed for institutions and people on CT don’t see any tangible things they can try on the chain like on any other chain Also because it’s only listed on a few CEXs and the liquidity is shit. Also, 0% of the supply was allocated to VCs, team or the Foundation and there was no premine and no presale. BUT Inflation is currently very high AND there is no max supply (like $ETH) Since January 2026, roughly 4B coins have been minted. That represents around 10% inflation over 199 days or approximately 19-20% annualized inflation. After accounting for all the fees being burned net annualized inflation is around 4.5% (which is still lower than Solana’s btw) This is not some bullshit partnership or anything lol This is coming out of nowhere after I saw this tweet on my TL so I was really curious to find out whether the metrics were completely fake or not. Looks like they’re legit 🤷🏻‍♂️ https://t.co/XFUAO90uSu I made this post because I didn't see A SINGLE PERSON on my TL talking about this blockchain and this token before (except when Hyperliquid listed it, but most people didn't even know what was this coin lol)
