I’ve started looking at decentralization a little differently over the past few years. I’m no longer interested in validator counts or governance participation. A truly resilient network should also be able to survive if the original builder stops being the center of gravity. That’s why this milestone stood out in my opinion. Expanding responsibility for core components across specialist teams while keeping development publicly accountable feels less like a handover and more like reducing long-term key-person risk. Maybe the next era of decentralization is about who has the ability to shape its future.
