Meta re-enters the stablecoin space, rolling out USDC payments for select creators According to Meta’s official website, Meta has opened stablecoin payments to select creators in Colombia and the Philippines, enabling them to receive USDC via the Solana and Polygon networks. Creators must link a third-party crypto wallet address through Facebook Payments; Meta does not offer USDC conversion to local fiat currencies. Tax reporting support is provided by Stripe for crypto-related transactions. A Meta spokesperson stated that the company is exploring the possibility of integrating stablecoins as a payment option. This marks Meta’s first return to stablecoin payments since shutting down its Libra (Diem) project in 2022. https://t.co/WnUrxx1k9m
