Solana just tested quantum-resistant signatures on testnet. The results? Not great. Signatures ballooned 20–40x in size. Network speed dropped ~90%. And here's the kicker: Solana exposes public keys directly in every transaction. That means 100% of wallets are sitting ducks once quantum computers get strong enough. Most chains hide keys until you spend. @solana doesn't. So now it's a tradeoff: keep the speed, or prep for a threat that might arrive in 5 years, maybe 10. Either way, this isn't just a Solana problem. It's a preview of what every high-throughput chain will face when quantum computing stops being theoretical. How do you even price that risk?
