I attended the Kite meetup! Kite has significantly enhanced its agent authorization, budget control, and cost-spike prevention features, along with supporting cross-chain payments through proven identity verification technology. @GoKiteAI CMO @Cindyshi0907 provided detailed insights on how Kite is actively expanding its global ecosystem through partnerships with Avalanche and Acer. Clearly, with PayPal behind it, there’s still significant interest from many people. I had the opportunity to hear insights from Hong Yumi of Suhoo IO, Jo Yujin of Avalanche, Jun Kim of Hashed, Kyle of Fabric, and Eko of TygerSearch. I’d like to summarize three key insights that left a strong impression on me: 1. Leveraging Human Bottlenecks for AI Agent Authorization Yujin Jo from Avalanche flipped the phrase “Humans are the bottleneck” by proposing that, in AI design, humans should be intentionally used as safety controls—or bottlenecks. Others agreed that a three-tier authorization model—similar to HyperAI’s passport system—separating humans (root admins), agents, and specific sessions—is highly effective. It was also suggested that multi-layered controls could be implemented, such as transaction limits below a certain amount, weekly transaction caps, or trading only within designated exchange rate ranges. 2. User-Centric Standardization Based on Blockchain and Web3 It was anticipated that intuitive, intent-based services would rise beyond the traditional MetaMask model of manual private key entry. Rather than top-down standards, there was consensus that users will increasingly choose to trust and directly adopt code from influencers or developers they trust. This will enable users to establish their own trusted guidelines and then customize and deploy multiple agents accordingly. 3. Phased Adoption Strategy Tailored to the Korean IT Market To successfully penetrate the Korean market, it was argued that a trust- and identity-based authentication layer must be proactively established—similar to how the COOV app succeeded in the past. There was broad agreement that large platforms like Naver or Kakao need to lead by example with successful agent commerce use cases to drive mass adoption. Many believe that combining stablecoins with AI agents for real-time, automated foreign exchange risk management in large-scale B2B trade settlements will be a key driver of mainstream adoption. I truly enjoyed today’s meetup and felt confident that my belief—that crypto is becoming the final graduation path for young people—isn’t misplaced. The boundary between Web2 and Web3 will continue to blur. Just as the stock market initially struggled to find its footing but eventually became mainstream, I believe the crypto market will inevitably follow the same path toward acceptance and stability.
