CAN YOU BECOME A MEMECOIN TRENCH TRADER? One 100x Screenshot Hides the Other 99 Trades The Trenches Are a Statistical Job Wearing a Casino Costume ---------------------- Today the feed is clipping $ChooChoo, $Fauci and $Jimothy. Tomorrow it will remember one chart and forget everyone who arrived late, sold early or held the round trip to zero. Galaxy found that just 12 tokens out of roughly 12.8 million Pump .fun launches held more than 55 percent of their combined fully diluted value... A July study tracked 832,941 launches. Only about 0.2 percent graduated. The median Solana memecoin hold is now roughly 100 seconds. This is industrial token production meeting high speed player versus player trading, and surviving it requires far more than one good call 👇 🔹From Timeline to Distribution🔹 The feed shows entries, multipliers and victory screenshots. It rarely shows failed setups, slippage, rugs, early exits or winners held back to zero. Launchpads, terminals and bots collect fees across the whole flow. Their revenue does not require the runner. Yours does. 👉 One 100x screenshot is marketing. The other 99 trades are the actual PnL. 🔹From Twenty Bets to One Chance🔹 Assume your filters genuinely find a major winner once every 20 qualified trades. At that 5 percent hit rate, 20 attempts give you about a 64 percent chance of catching at least one. You still have a 36 percent chance of finding nothing while executing correctly. After 100 attempts, you expect five hits. Your chance of finding at least three rises to roughly 88 percent. 👉 Twenty bets do not prove an edge, they merely buy a chance to encounter the event your edge depends on. The math is illustrative. Trades are correlated and regimes change. 🔹From Runner to Ruin🔹 Place 20 equal bets of one unit. Nineteen go to zero. One returns 10x. You committed 20 units and got 10 back. The screenshot says 10x. Your account says down 50 percent. If every miss becomes a total loss, a 5 percent hit rate needs an average 20x winner merely to break even before fees. Cut the average miss to 30 percent and the required winner falls to roughly 6.7x. 👉 Finding the runner creates the upside. Controlling the other nineteen trades creates the profit. 🔹From Profit to Fragility🔹 A recent paper traded Solana system completed 190 trades with a 40.5 percent win rate and a cumulative return of 117.7 percent. Remove its three best trades, only 1.6 percent of the sample, and the entire result turns negative. CoinGecko found that 73.3 percent of Pump .fun and PumpSwap wallets in its April realized PnL sample finished green. Yet 65.1 percent earned only $1 to $500, while just 5.4 percent cleared $1,000. The study excluded unrealized bags and did not filter bots or wash trading. 👉 Being green and building meaningful return are different games. 🔹From Gambling to Process🔹 A trench trader needs written rules for: ▫️ Eligible launchpads, liquidity ranges and token ages ▫️ Supply control, holder concentration, bundled wallets and deployer history ▫️ Exact entry, invalidation and profit taking triggers ▫️ One small risk unit and a hard daily loss limit ▫️ A complete ledger that keeps every embarrassing trade 👉 A trench trader is a risk manager forced to work at meme speed. 🔹The Honest Tension🔹 One hundred random bets into garbage do not become a strategy, because more attempts help only when the trigger has positive expected value after every real cost. My falsifier is simple: if the rules fail on unseen trades after fees, slippage, failed transactions and execution delay, the edge was curve fitting and the ordinary explanation wins. 👉 More attempts amplify an edge. They cannot manufacture one. 🔹Actionable NFA for Trench Traders🔹 ▫️ Define the maximum loss before choosing the token ▫️ Treat 20 qualified trades as a pilot, not proof ▫️ Track hit rate, median loss, average winner, drawdown and returns after removing your three best trades ▫️ Never increase size because a cold streak feels due to end ▫️ Review the ledger after 20, 50 and 100 trades. A method that needs one miracle is still a lottery ticket The screenshot celebrates the coin. The ledger decides whether the trader survived it, whatever the pump. NFA. DYOR.
