Now, I remind myself: Wait until next quarter’s earnings come out. After all, the market can react in advance, but profits don’t appear ahead of time. The biggest change over these years, perhaps, is that I’ve become more patient. When I see a company I like, my first reaction isn’t to buy immediately— it’s to observe a few quarters first.
