Every time I see someone who claims to understand money declare that Bitcoin is a bubble, is worthless, has no intrinsic value, I tend to dismiss them and discount what I've read from them in the past. Today I thought of a simple way to explain how and why Bitcoin is not a bubble. There are millions of crypto currencies. A small number of them have capabilities that put Bitcoin to shame, some of them have reasonable distributions curves and fair launches. The only reason that Bitcoin is much more valuable than all of these is because Bitcoin has the best network. When people say that Bitcoin has no value, they are ignoring the utility of its network, and that demonstrates a profound lack of understand about how money works. For the same reason, I look to the dark net markets as the true acid test for a crypto currency. Bitcoin once dominated there, now Monero does. You need to have both of these crypto currencies and to hold your own keys, probably would not hurt to have some gold and silver too.
