BNB Chain has a lot going on, but one thing I think deserves more attention is how we make onchain finance more suitable for serious financial activity. We've spent years building faster networks, improving transaction costs, and making DeFi more accessible. And that's great. But I don't think the next stage of growth is only about how many transactions a network can process or how many applications launch on it. It's also about the kind of financial activity people and institutions can comfortably bring onchain. Think about it. A business might want to use blockchain infrastructure for payments, manage digital assets, or explore DeFi opportunities. But it may not be comfortable exposing every financial position, transaction strategy, or piece of sensitive business data to the public. At the same time, other participants still need ways to verify important information. That's where things get interesting. You can't build a trustworthy financial system by simply hiding everything. But you also can't expect every participant to expose all their sensitive information just to prove they're legitimate. We need a better balance between privacy and verification. This is one area where @primus_labs is worth paying attention to. Primus is building privacy and verification infrastructure using technologies such as zkTLS and Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE). zkTLS helps users prove the authenticity of information from existing internet services without revealing the underlying raw data. FHE makes it possible to perform computations on encrypted data without first exposing it in plaintext. These capabilities open up interesting possibilities for financial applications that need trustworthy information while protecting sensitive details. And with Primus bringing its zkTLS verification infrastructure to BNB Chain, there's a practical connection to the ecosystem, beyond just talking about what privacy technology might achieve someday. I believe infrastructure like this could become increasingly important as blockchain applications handle more complex financial use cases. Of course, privacy and verification aren't the only things needed for institutional adoption. Security, compliance, liquidity, and usability still matter. But solving the privacy problem is an important step. For BNB Chain, the opportunity isn't simply to bring more activity onchain. It's also to support applications where sensitive information can remain protected without making trust impossible. That's the kind of development I'll be watching. Because the future of onchain finance shouldn't force users to choose between protecting their information and proving what needs to be trusted.
