I’ve been reflecting on my own trades—I saw $ASTEROID at 4M. @FluxGray mentioned it, and I also noticed @CookerFlips was already in front 😭 It’s disappointing that I recognized the value early but didn’t hold on, missing out on nearly 40x returns. I’ve been thinking about why I didn’t hold $ASTEROID—the core issue was that I didn’t treat each trade as an independent event. Too often, I’ve imposed past experiences and lessons directly onto new opportunities. My previous losses with $AIN and recent memecoin market caps limited my imagination and clouded my judgment. After one loss, my brain automatically labels similar opportunities as “dangerous.” But one failure doesn’t invalidate a framework—you need to ask whether the failure stemmed from flawed logic or bad timing. I spoke with @0xXQ1 and asked why he went all-in: bear market, Musk, mainnet launch, charity angle, the project’s history as an old coin, even its resemblance to Shiba Inu—all these buffs stacked up. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a mainnet coin. On Solana or BSC, everyone tries to estimate the ceiling—but mainnet projects naturally spark more imagination: Could this be the next Shiba? The next Pepe? Early opportunities still require being ahead of the market in some way—plus favorable timing, conditions, and momentum. Mindset shifts are critical. Treat every trade as an independent calculation—don’t let the outcome of one trade influence your next decision. Losing on $ANI doesn’t mean the next opportunity won’t work; missing $ASTEROID doesn’t mean you’ll miss the next one. Each trade is a fresh expected value calculation—unrelated to history. Too many traders either give up entirely or become overly cautious after losses—both are unhealthy. You need resilience 🫡
