August 9, 2026: The full six-month regulated futures trading period is completed. Starting this date, Cardano becomes eligible for the SEC’s streamlined ETF approval process. -- What Changes on August 9? Exchanges and fund managers can file for a spot ADA ETF under generic listing standards without submitting a new rule change. The SEC’s review period begins within 75 days. The earliest possible approval date: around October 23, 2026. -- Why Does This Matter? This process facilitates institutional capital inflow, just as it did for Bitcoin and Ethereum. Grayscale has already filed for a GADA-ticker ETF. Other funds—including VanEck, Bitwise, and 21Shares—are also preparing applications.
