Yesterday I upgraded Jitsu stake pool to a Mithril-signer. What's the big deal with that? What does it do for Cardano at large? Delegating to a Mithril-active stake pool is essential because it directly strengthens Cardano's scalability and decentralized security. When a pool participates in Mithril signing, it contributes its stake weight to a threshold multi-signature scheme that certifies the current state of the blockchain. This allows light wallets and new nodes to verify the entire ledger in MINUTES rather than DAYS, without sacrificing security or relying on centralized servers. By supporting these pools, delegators empower a faster, more accessible network that can support complex sidechains and mobile applications while ensuring the ecosystem remains resilient and truly peer-to-peer. Why don't all stake pools operate Mithril? It's simply not mandatory, unfortunately. Thankfully, it's not hard to setup. Encourage your stake pool operator to start supporting Mithril! If they won't, consider strengthening Cardano by switching to a Mithril operator. For a list of Mithril operating pools: https://t.co/ZRXR14S60R Shout-out to @HephyPool for being a champion voice in the importance of Mithril adoption. His voice is why I'm a mithril signer. 🙏
