Odaily Planet Daily reports that Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, published an open article titled "The AI Future Is for Everyone," outlining his vision for the development of superintelligence, advocating that future AI should empower individuals broadly rather than be centrally controlled by a few institutions.
Zuckerberg stated that the most critical issue today is not whether superintelligence will emerge, but who will gain access to it. He advocated for individual empowerment as the foundation of prosperity, innovation as the core mission of superintelligence, and checks and balances as the safeguard—rather than concentrating AI capabilities in the hands of a few institutions.
In response to concerns from some AI industry professionals about the risks of superintelligence, Zuckerberg expressed disagreement with views such as “AI will replace most jobs” or “only highly centralized power can ensure AI safety.” History has shown that excessive concentration of power often suppresses human potential, while openness and freedom foster greater innovation and prosperity. The greatest value of superintelligence should not be automation, but rather driving invention and creation. If superintelligence is controlled by only a few institutions, it will inevitably exert excessive influence over the economy, science, and politics. In contrast, enabling everyone to have personal superintelligence could usher in a new era of全面提升 individual capabilities, promoting greater entrepreneurship and innovation.
On security governance, Zuckerberg noted that experience in areas such as cybersecurity shows that open ecosystems contribute to long-term improvements in system security.
