Zora launched Attention Markets on Solana to track and trade social trends. Users can create and bet on viral topics, with a 1 SOL fee to prevent spam. Pairs under Trends may earn creator incentives. The platform taps into industry trends by monitoring platforms like TikTok and X. Zora is hiring an 'Attention Economist' to analyze cultural movements. This on-chain news highlights the platform’s focus on real-time social data.

BlockBeats news: On February 18, the decentralized SocialFi platform Zora announced the launch of a new Attention Markets platform on Solana, enabling traders to trade network hot terms, topics, tags, and trends. Users can create "Trends" before a topic gains momentum and track their profits and losses in real time.

Zora co-founder Jacob Horne stated that currently, 1 SOL is required to post a Trend to deter spam; Trends themselves do not provide creator rewards, but Pairs under a Trend are eligible for creator incentives. Additionally, according to Zora’s job posting, the company is seeking an “Attention Economist” to track cultural trends on platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and X in order to predict the next wave of trends.
