BlockBeats report, on September 23, the Bitcoin lending protocol Zest Protocol released its "Proof of Mainnet Deployment," making the Bitcoin Collateral Vaults mainnet demonstration independently verifiable, with a total of 3 Bitcoin transactions and 7 Ethereum transactions publicly disclosed. The product design locks BTC in Bitcoin mainnet vaults without wrapping or using cross-chain bridges, while enabling borrowing of stablecoins on EVM chains such as Ethereum.
This feature is still a mainnet prototype and not fully open for lending and borrowing. The official roadmap will proceed in two phases: Phase 1 will restrict BTC settlement paths using pre-signed transactions, and Phase 2 will transition to BitVM verification. A working mainnet prototype is already available, and the team is accelerating the official deployment.
