As reported by 528btc, Cypherpunk Technologies Inc. announced that Zcash founder Zooko Wilcox has joined the company as a strategic advisor. Wilcox, former CEO of Electric Coin Company, will guide the development of privacy-focused digital systems. The move preceded a significant rise in Cypherpunk's stock price on Tuesday, while Zcash itself has been rebounding after recent declines. Cypherpunk, which began supporting Zcash in November, has accumulated 233,644 ZEC, valued at around $100 million. Zcash's price has surged from around $50 in early September to over $700 in November, though it has since retreated to around $430. Meanwhile, Cypherpunk's stock rose nearly 40% to $1.62 following the announcement.
