Zama has deployed a protocol update featuring a private test version of its Confidential RFQ protocol on the Ethereum mainnet. Built on the ERC-7984 standard, this on-chain innovation enables institutional traders to execute trades while concealing order size, direction, and asset type. Sealed-bid auctions allow market makers to compete for fills. Swap fees will be fully allocated to buy and burn ZAMA tokens, with no front-end charges. The public launch is scheduled for September, with multi-chain support currently in development.

Odaily Planet Daily report: Zama founder Rand posted on X that Zama has launched the Confidential RFQ protocol, which is now live in private beta on the Ethereum mainnet, with a public release expected in September and multi-chain support to follow. The protocol is built on the ERC-7984 confidential token standard and uses sealed-bid auctions to enable professional market makers to compete to fill crypto trades, fully concealing trade size, direction, and asset type. All 100% of swap fees are used to repurchase and burn ZAMA tokens, with no front-end fees. Zama noted that large on-chain trades are still conducted via OTC or dark pools to avoid strategy exposure.
