YZi Labs Announces 24 Projects in EASY Residency Season 4

On August 25, YZi Labs officially announced the startups selected for Season 4 of the EASY Residency. As its flagship incubation program for early-stage founders in Web3, AI, and biotechnology, this season features 24 early-stage companies, each receiving an investment of $500,000.

YZi Labs stated that its fourth-quarter lineup reflects its assessment of the directions in global payments, on-chain markets, and "agent-based finance": more programmable, more localized, more focused on compliance, and truly embedded into everyday financial processes.

Its core technologies include zkTLS and zkFHE: the former enables verification of the authenticity of external data such as web pages and exchanges, while the latter supports financial operations like transfers and interest accruals while data remains encrypted.

On February 21, 2025, Primus announced the completion of a $6.5 million Pre-seed + Seed round, with investors including VanEck, Dispersion, and Symbolic.

Roostoo is a training and screening platform for AI trading agents, originally developed from university-level cryptocurrency simulation trading scenarios. The platform enables human traders and AI agents to test strategies in the same environment using real-time market data and competition mechanisms, continuously identifying superior models.

Currently, Roostoo is building a reinforcement learning agent factory to train quantitative models covering markets such as crypto perpetuals, equities, commodities, and forex. Once validated in live trading environments, high-performing agents can be further deployed to DEXs, on-chain vaults, and other scenarios, becoming part of automated trading and asset management strategies.

The platform transforms asset exposures such as hedge fund holdings, public figures’ disclosed portfolios, thematic asset baskets, systematic strategies, and Pre-IPO opportunities into tokenized ETF-like products called ETFTs, which users can subscribe to using USDC.

Nara is a PayFi digital dollar protocol designed for stablecoin payment scenarios, providing payment companies with 24/7, on-demand short-term liquidity support. For the ultra-short-term funding needs common in cross-border payments and settlement, Nara aims to transform them into on-chain programmable credit services to enhance capital efficiency.

Meanwhile, Nara aggregates the financing premium paid by payment companies into NaraUSD, providing on-chain users with a dollar-denominated yield-bearing asset.

Liquorice is an on-chain protocol that provides liquidity for professional market makers, primarily addressing the issue of large amounts of capital being tied up in advance during market making. In certain on-chain trades, multiple market makers compete to provide quotes to users; under traditional models, they must pre-fund large amounts of assets across different wallets. Liquorice allows market makers to instantly borrow the required assets from a shared liquidity pool only when they successfully secure an order and need to settle, thereby improving capital efficiency.
