ME News reports that on October 30 (UTC+8), a fund under the Yamaichi Securities Group will acquire the majority of the assets of the Tokyo composite facility "Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho" (formerly the site of the Akasaka Prince Hotel) from Blackstone for over $1.9 billion (300 billion yen), and will issue a portion of these assets as digital securities (STs) for sale to individual investors.
The acquisition target consists of office and commercial facilities, excluding residential components. Approximately $570 million (90 billion JPY) in office assets are held in trust by Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation, and after deducting debt, approximately $190 million (30 billion JPY) will be issued as digital securities, sold to individual investors by Daiwa Securities, marking the largest single issuance of real estate digital securities to date.
