This year, Bitcoin news shows only trading, AI, and privacy tokens outperformed Bitcoin. Trading tokens such as DRV (+665%), HYPE (+200%), and PUMP (+121%) surged due to speculative activity. AI tokens VVV (+1431%) and NEAR (+203%) also rose sharply. Privacy tokens ZEC (+137%) and XMR (+37%) gained momentum. The Fear & Greed Index remained elevated in these sectors, while most others underperformed.

ME News reports that on October 27 (UTC+8), DeFi researcher Ignas posted a roundup of this year's top-performing tokens, noting that only tokens in the three categories—trading, AI, and privacy—have outperformed Bitcoin this year:
1. Trading tokens performed the most strongly, with DRV rising 665%, HYPE up 200%, PUMP up 121%, and RAY up 106%. The price increase for these tokens is driven by speculative trading, which generates fee revenue for the protocol, which in turn supports token value through buyback mechanisms.
2. Regarding AI-themed tokens, VVV rose 1,431%, NEAR rose 203%, and GRASS rose 151%;
3. Among privacy coins, ZEC rose 137% and XMR rose 37%.
In addition, Ignas mentioned that QNT and MORPHO in the institutional adoption narrative rose 173% and 89%, respectively. However, apart from these categories, most tokens have performed poorly this year; identifying tokens with strong revenue-generating potential remains a relatively straightforward trading strategy.
