Yang Tianzhen and Jiang Shanshan have launched Helios Venture, a new fund focused on AI, embodied intelligence, and brain-computer interfaces. Jiang, formerly of Alibaba, has led over RMB 10 billion in frontier technology investments and will oversee deal execution. Yang will manage branding and investor relations, leveraging her background in content and artist management. The firm prioritizes complex AI infrastructure over consumer-facing tools, with Jiang noting that large corporations will dominate the latter. On-chain trading signals indicate rising interest in AI-driven sectors, and Helios aims to identify key support and resistance levels in emerging technology markets.

ChainCatcher report, according to LatePost, Yang Tianzhen, founder of Yi Xin Entertainment, and Jiang Shanshan, former head of frontier technology investments at Alibaba, have co-founded the venture capital firm Helios Venture, focusing on cutting-edge technologies such as AI, embodied intelligence, nuclear fusion, and brain-computer interfaces. Their roles are clearly defined: Jiang Shanshan oversees investments, while Yang Tianzhen manages investor relations, content, and brand building. Jiang previously served as Managing Director of Alibaba’s Strategic Investment Division. Over the past three years, she led more than ten frontier technology investments at Alibaba, totaling over RMB 10 billion, including projects such as Moonshot AI, robotics company Sharpa, and nuclear fusion firm Nova Fusion. In August this year, she left Alibaba to begin preparing her own fund. Their collaboration began when Jiang sought Yang’s advice on building influence for the new fund, leading Yang to propose co-founding the venture. Jiang believes that to compete with top-tier firms for high-quality startups after leaving Alibaba, the new fund must establish its own brand. Yang will leverage her experience in artist management and content marketing to connect with entrepreneurs and provide portfolio companies with brand communication and founder image management support. The two also plan to co-produce a science podcast aimed at the general public. Jiang summarizes their partnership logic as: investment capability is the “1,” and content is the trailing “0.” In terms of investment strategy, she favors concentrated bets with careful selection, noting that although she has reviewed hundreds of AI application companies, she has not made any investments yet. She believes consumer-facing AI productivity tools and entertainment applications will likely be dominated in the future by large tech firms or model providers, while more independent entrepreneurial opportunities may exist in complex areas such as enterprise-grade AI agent infrastructure.
