The XRP Ledger (XRPL) launched a major upgrade in December 2025, boosting tokenization, lending, and compliance. The changes include enhancements in rippled 3.0.0 and 2.6.2, such as improved escrow-accounting for MPTs and better price-oracle processing. Scalability improvements like fixDirectoryLimit aim to strengthen XRPL’s role as a fast settlement layer. The upgrade positions the network to better compete with SWIFT in 2026.
