KuCoin security update includes new quantum-resistant features on the XRP Ledger AlphaNet, as reported by CoinEdition. The network now uses NIST-standardized Dilithium signatures instead of elliptic curve cryptography. XRPL Labs engineer Denis Angell confirmed the change on Dec. 24, introducing Quantum Accounts, Transactions, and Consensus. The upgrade targets 'Q-Day' risks from quantum computing. KuCoin security efforts also include a proposal by Edward Hennis for optional one-time key rotation to reduce attack windows.
