PANews, August 8: According to CoinDesk, the newly released XRP Ledger software version 3.3.0 introduces a proposed feature called "Confidential Transfers," which allows institutions to encrypt balances and payment amounts for certain tokenized assets while keeping account and token type information visible. This upgrade aims to meet the growing market demand for tokenized real-world assets on XRPL, which currently has approximately $1.38 billion in issued assets, including holdings from major institutions such as RLUSD, Ondo, VERT Capital, Archax, and Société Générale. The "Confidential Transfers" feature, along with five other institutional-focused revisions—including batch transaction tools, initiation fee tools, and delegation permission tools—still requires at least two weeks of support from 80% of validators before going live.
