X Launches Original Content Rewards Program, Ends Previous Monetization Plan on September 7

Huo Xing Finance reports that X has announced the launch of the Original Content Rewards Program, designed to reward creators who bring original insights, expertise, reporting, creativity, and commentary to the platform. X has stated that, effective immediately, new users will no longer be accepted into the previous revenue-sharing program. Existing revenue-sharing program participants will continue to receive payments until September 7, with three final payouts scheduled for August 14, August 28, and a final settlement around September 11. Starting September 8, eligible existing creators may apply to join the new Original Content Rewards Program. Under the new program, earnings will be distributed based on qualified impressions generated by creators’ original content, with rewards issued every two weeks. The first payment is expected to be disbursed on August 28. To apply for the Original Content Rewards Program, creators must meet the following criteria: - Be at least 18 years old; - Reside in a country or region supported by the program; - Maintain a good account reputation with no repeated violations of monetization standards or Terms of Service; - Hold a personal or business account; - Subscribe to X Premium, Premium+, or Premium Business; - Have at least 500 verified followers; - Achieve at least 500,000 home timeline impressions from verified users over the past 90 days (excluding reply impressions); - Consistently publish original content.
