Federal Reserve news emerged as the Wyoming Stablecoin Council integrated Chainlink Proof of Reserve for its stablecoin, FRNT. Built on MetaEra, this move makes FRNT the first U.S. public stablecoin to publish verified on-chain reserve data, exceeding the standards set by the GENIUS Act. The system employs automated verification and independent oversight for frequent reserve disclosures. The council also activated Chainlink’s Secure Mint, requiring reserves to match or exceed supply before new tokens are issued. Previously, FRNT migrated from LayerZero to Chainlink’s CCIP following a comprehensive security review.

ME News reports that on September 2 (UTC+8), Chainlink announced that the Wyoming State Stablecoin Committee has adopted Chainlink Proof of Reserve to provide verified reserve transparency for its issued stablecoin, Frontier Stable Token (FRNT), making FRNT the first stablecoin issued by a U.S. public institution to publish on-chain, verified reserve data—exceeding the transparency requirements of the GENIUS Act. This solution combines independent oversight with automated on-chain verification to enable frequent reserve disclosures, allowing users, institutions, regulators, and market participants to independently verify asset reserves. The committee is also advancing Chainlink Proof of Reserve Secure Mint functionality, which requires verified reserves to equal or exceed the total FRNT supply before new tokens can be minted, thereby preventing unlimited minting attacks. Previously, Foresight News reported that the Wyoming State Stablecoin Committee migrated FRNT from LayerZero to Chainlink’s cross-chain interoperability protocol, CCIP, and fully decommissioned the LayerZero token implementation after completing a comprehensive security review, establishing CCIP as FRNT’s cross-chain infrastructure.
