World Liberty Financial has launched USD1 on the Canton Network, enabling on-chain settlement for real-world assets (RWA). The stablecoin, backed by U.S. Treasuries and money market funds, supports derivatives, lending, and asset issuance. Managed by BitGo Bank & Trust, USD1 has a $4.05 billion market cap. World Liberty Financial, a Trump-backed initiative, partners with Canton, a blockchain processing over $9 trillion in RWA monthly.

ChainCatcher reports that World Liberty Financial has announced the native issuance of its USD stablecoin, USD1, on the Canton Network, enabling institutions to settle transactions involving tokenized real-world assets (RWA) using this stablecoin. According to the announcement, USD1 can serve as the cash leg in transactions such as derivative collateralization, institutional lending, and asset issuance and redemption. Native issuance allows USD1 to settle synchronously with tokenized assets within the same transaction, while leveraging Canton’s privacy and permissioning controls. According to DeFiLlama data, USD1 has a market capitalization of approximately $40.5 billion, making it the sixth-largest stablecoin; it is issued and managed by BitGo Bank & Trust, which oversees its reserves and minting/redemption processes. Launched in March 2025, USD1’s reserves consist of short-term U.S. Treasuries, government money market funds, and U.S. dollar deposits. World Liberty Financial, a crypto project backed by the Trump family, was founded in 2024. Canton is a public blockchain designed for institutional finance, processing or issuing over $9 trillion in tokenized assets monthly, with over $350 billion in on-chain U.S. Treasuries flowing across its network daily. Zak Folkman, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of World Liberty Financial, stated that institutions have already tokenized trillions of dollars in U.S. Treasuries and government debt, but dollar settlement still relies on outdated infrastructure; the integration of Canton with natively issued USD1 enables faster and more private USD settlement for real-world assets.
