Whale Adds $78.6M BTC Short on Hyperliquid, Becomes Largest BTC Short Holder

Whale activity trading intensified on Hyperliquid as a whale with address starting with 0xa8 added $78.6 million in BTC short positions on December 19. The whale now holds $94.08 million in BTC shorts at an average price of $87,200, with a liquidation price of $89,400 and $360,000 floating profit (11%). On-chain trading signals show limit stop-loss orders set between $88,000 and $88,300 and take-profit orders between $79,000 and $83,000. Since December 8, this whale has realized nearly $3 million in profits by rolling positions. The current short now surpasses the BTC long of the 'BTC OG insider whale,' making it the largest BTC short on Hyperliquid.
