Deep integration between WeCom and WorkBuddy enables access to chat and meeting records.

ChainCatcher report, according to Beating, Tencent has announced deep integration between WeCom and WorkBuddy. In the new version of WeCom 5.0.12, WorkBuddy is integrated into the corporate directory, allowing employees to chat with it, assign tasks, or add it to work groups just like a colleague—to summarize group chats, organize meeting to-dos, draft emails, and return results directly. WorkBuddy 5.8.0 supports login via WeCom accounts. Within enterprise authorization limits, it can access ten office capabilities, including chat messages, documents, meetings, and WeDrive. Employees can handle tasks using prior discussions and project files without repeatedly uploading materials, and save results to WeDrive with one click. The WorkBuddy bot can also integrate with WeCom’s built-in AI assistant “Dayuan” to collaboratively handle more complex tasks. Administrators can assign WorkBuddy accounts, set data access permissions, and use the “Observability Center,” now in public beta since October 13, to monitor departmental point consumption, model usage, task durations, and trace specific steps where issues occur. This new interoperability is available to verified WeCom enterprises, with limited free trial slots provided.
