New York, October 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Online investment platform Webull (Nasdaq: BULL) today announced the launch of extended-hours trading for select single stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) options, enabling eligible U.S. customers to manage their positions with greater flexibility outside regular trading hours.
Extended-hours options trading will allow clients to trade eligible options during the pre-market session from 7:30 AM to 9:25 AM Eastern Time and the after-hours session from 4:00 PM to 4:15 PM Eastern Time. By extending trading hours beyond the regular market session, Webull provides options traders with additional opportunities to open or close positions following earnings announcements and other market-moving news.
Anthony Denier, President and CEO of Webull, said: “As markets continue to evolve, major corporate announcements often occur outside traditional trading hours, and investors need tools that reflect the realities of today’s market environment. Extending options trading to pre-market and after-hours sessions is a natural step in the evolution of our platform, providing traders with greater flexibility to manage positions and respond to new information as it emerges.”
The initial launch will cover selected individual stock options, including Apple (AAPL), Amazon (AMZN), NVIDIA (NVDA), Tesla (TSLA), and other actively traded underlying assets; as well as options linked to the following ETFs: SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY), Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ), iShares Russell 2000 ETF (IWM), SPDR Gold Shares (GLD), and Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF).
The tradable range varies by underlying asset and contract. For those underlying assets that are already traded until 4:15 PM Eastern Time during regular trading hours, the additional after-hours trading window does not apply.
Extended-hours trading is now available for select individual stocks and ETF options. Extended-hours trading for select index options, as well as broader market availability, is expected to roll out over time.
