ChainCatcher report: The 2026 World Physics AI Conference and Unitree Partner Ecosystem Conference took place today in Hangzhou. Wang Xingxing, Chairman, General Manager, and Chief Technology Officer of Unitree Robotics, stated in his keynote speech that the core challenge in moving beyond the ChatGPT moment for embodied intelligence is aligning AI model inputs and outputs with real-world robots. Wang noted that for leading large model companies, their internal systems have essentially achieved self-evolution—models can now write programs and collect data on their own, with humans only needing to provide appropriate guidance and involvement. He also added that it typically takes five to ten years for technological breakthroughs to reach widespread adoption, which is why the public often doesn’t feel their impact strongly; however, signs of breakthroughs in physical AI are already becoming evident.
