IT Home, October 12 news: The 26th China International Industrial Fair will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from October 12 to 16, 2026.
According to Yicai, during the in-depth dialogue session at the opening ceremony, Wang Xingxing, founder of Unitree Technologies, shared that the recent release of GPT-6 has significantly impacted perceptions within the embodied intelligence industry; his team has deployed it on robots to test task performance, with promising results. He believes the tipping point for the embodied intelligence industry will arrive relatively quickly—possibly within one to two years.
Wang Xingxing said that to enable large-scale deployment of robots, issues related to generalization and efficiency still need to be addressed, but these challenges will be resolved over the next few years.
Wang Xingxing also mentioned, “My personal belief in AI has actually grown stronger over time; the biggest mistake I made over the past decade was not believing in AI enough. Even now, many people may still not be fully using or embracing AI.”
IT Home noted that in September, Wang Xingxing stated that when robots can complete 80% of tasks in 80% of unfamiliar environments through embodied voice capabilities, it will signal the industry’s tipping point. At that time, global enterprises and national resources will converge en masse into the sector, and this industry inflection point is expected to materialize within the coming years.
