ChainThink reports that on October 15, according to a post on X platform, Vitalik Buterin congratulated the Airbender team and stated that the race for zkEVM speed has ended, with the primary focus now shifting entirely to security.
Vitalik noted that formal verification is required for the equivalence between arithmetization and the Ethereum specification, a hard upper bound on the ratio of proof cost to block gas limit, and the security of the proof system itself.
Previously, ZKsync launched the prover Airbender Prime, calling it the first prover to achieve real-time Ethereum proofs on a single GPU.
