ChainThink reports that on September 8, Visa stated that stablecoin-linked card programs have become one of the fastest-growing businesses on its network.
In the second quarter of fiscal year 2026, over 160 projects went live globally, with related payment volumes growing nearly 200% year-over-year, and the annualized volume of stablecoin settlements recently exceeded $20 billion.
Visa stated that early stablecoin card projects often faced daily settlement funding requirements but lacked sufficient credit history and traditional financing scale.
Credit Coop, in partnership with Visa, has launched a revolving credit line denominated in stablecoins, with settlement receivables controlled via smart contracts and underwriting and repayment verification powered by Visa’s daily settlement data.
According to Visa, since 2023, the Credit Coop platform has raised over $2.5 billion in total funding, executed more than 3,000 loans and 9,000 repayments on-chain, with zero defaults.
