Visa has partnered with zerohash to enable stablecoin payouts for Visa Direct clients, expanding digital asset news in global crypto policy. The integration allows 24/7 liquidity management for cross-border transfers. Visa Direct operates at over 18 billion acceptance points in 195 countries. zerohash CEO Edward Woodford said the move improves access to onchain money. Visa’s Mark Nelsen noted stablecoins offer faster, more flexible payments. This follows Visa’s stablecoin cards in over 100 countries and its Stablecoin Platform launched in July 2026.
  • Visa is taking another step toward mainstream stablecoin adoption.
  • This involves a new deal with zerohash.
  • Thanks to the partnership, Visa Direct clients will be able to use stablecoin services.

Payments giant Visa and digital asset infrastructure provider zerohash announced a partnership under which Visa Direct clients will gain access to stablecoin account top-ups and payouts.

Visa Direct Will Gain Stablecoin Support

According to the announcement, zerohash’s infrastructure will enable Visa Direct clients to:

  • Top up accounts in stablecoins
  • Make payouts in stablecoins
  • Manage liquidity for cross-border transfers 24/7

Visa noted that the Visa Direct network reaches more than 18 billion acceptance points, including bank accounts, cards, and digital wallets, across more than 195 countries and territories.

Edward Woodford, zerohash founder and CEO, emphasized that the integration opens up new opportunities for using digital assets in global payments.

“zerohash’s infrastructure powers partners across the payments and money movement stack, including banks like Morgan Stanley, card issuing partners such as Marqeta, and PSPs like Worldpay. Unlocking stablecoin use cases at the core network level further accelerates adoption globally,” he said.

According to Woodford, the partnership “expands access to onchain money via Visa Direct.”

“It gives businesses a faster way to prefund and manage liquidity across borders, and gives recipients quicker access to money and ultimately more choice,” he added.

Visa’s global head of products, Mark Nelsen, stressed that the company continues to invest in digital asset infrastructure.

“Stablecoins are creating new opportunities to make money movement faster and more flexible, particularly for cross-border use cases,” he said.

Visa Strengthens Its Stablecoin Strategy

The new partnership continues a series of Visa initiatives in the digital asset space.

In March 2026, the company expanded its partnership with Stripe and Bridge, announcing the launch of stablecoin cards in more than 100 countries, and also brought Bridge into a pilot project for onchain settlements.

Later, in July 2026, Visa introduced Visa Stablecoin Platform — an enterprise platform for banks, fintech companies, and crypto services that brings stablecoin issuance, custody, transfers, and redemption into a single environment.

Meanwhile, zerohash continues to expand its regulatory footprint. At the end of 2025, the company received a MiCA license from the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets, enabling it to provide stablecoin and crypto-asset services across the European Economic Area.
