VCI Global Acquires $100M in OOB Tokens to Manage OOBIT's Digital Treasury

Citing Coinotag, VCI Global, a Nasdaq-listed technology firm, has acquired $100 million in OOB tokens from OOBIT, a crypto payments platform backed by Tether and Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko. The acquisition includes $50 million directly from the OOB Foundation and $50 million from the open market post-launch. VCI will oversee OOBIT’s digital treasury, integrating stablecoin solutions for global payments. OOBIT, established in 2017, facilitates crypto-to-fiat transactions and has integrated Tether’s USDT and XAUt stablecoins. VCI’s shares dropped over 20% following the announcement.
