Citing PANews, VanEck announced that its 'Gaming ETF' will be renamed to 'VanEck Degen Economy ETF' following the close of trading on April 8, 2026. The fund will track the 'Degen Economy Index,' which includes companies in digital brokerage, crypto exchanges, iGaming, digital sports betting, BNPL, online forums, ride-hailing and food delivery platforms. Eligible companies must derive at least 50% of their revenue from these sectors. The ETF will be the first publicly listed fund to use the term 'Degen' in its name.
