ChainCatcher report: U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded a net inflow of $225.8 million on Thursday, marking their strongest single-day performance in 10 months and extending their streak of consecutive net inflows to nine trading days. According to Farside Investors data, over the past nine trading days since August 17, cumulative inflows reached $1.42 billion, with BlackRock’s ETHA fund contributing $1.02 billion—72% of total inflows in this category—and no single day saw net outflows. Fidelity’s FETH ranked second with $560 million in inflows, while BlackRock’s staked Ethereum product ETHB added $20.7 million on the same day. The gap between Ethereum ETFs and Bitcoin ETFs has narrowed to nearly parity: Bitcoin ETFs saw $242.3 million in inflows on Thursday, just $16.5 million more than Ethereum. Ethereum closed Friday at approximately $2,477, down 0.5% over 24 hours but up about 5% for the week. Max Shannon, Senior Research Associate at Bitwise Europe, noted that the majority of funds originated outside the crypto space, with $713.6 million flowing in this week—likely driven by rising risk appetite in traditional markets. He also pointed out that spot Ethereum trading volume has declined to the 16th percentile year-over-year; sustained price momentum will require a rebound in spot trading volume.
