AI and crypto news emerged as the U.S. eased export controls on the UAE, permitting purchases of AI semiconductors and commercial satellites. The Commerce Department confirmed the UAE now qualifies for relaxed export rules. UAE companies can now acquire advanced AI chips from NVIDIA, AMD, and Cerebras. A deal finalized over a year ago will deliver thousands of processors to G42 for new AI data centers. On-chain developments suggest this shift could enhance regional tech infrastructure and AI advancement.

BlockBeats report: On July 11, the Trump administration plans to ease export restrictions on the UAE, removing barriers to its procurement of various advanced technologies, including commercial satellites and semiconductors for artificial intelligence. The U.S. Department of Commerce stated in an upcoming notice that the UAE now qualifies for more lenient treatment under U.S. export control regulations.

The U.S. Department of Commerce also noted that the UAE supports the United States' position in the anti-Iran campaign. Lifting export restrictions will enable UAE companies to procure advanced AI chips from NVIDIA, AMD, and Cerebras Systems as planned.

This agreement, reached over a year ago between the United States and the UAE, requires these companies to supply thousands of processors to G42, a UAE government-backed technology leader, for use in newly built AI data centers in the region.
