As per Chainwire, the United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) SDG Blockchain Accelerator has launched its second cohort in partnership with FLock.io, its AI Strategic Partner. The initiative supports seven new global projects using blockchain, federated learning, and decentralized AI to address challenges in climate action, finance, healthcare, cultural preservation, and wildlife conservation across multiple developing countries. These projects aim to advance the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by leveraging transparent and privacy-preserving technologies. Examples include a blockchain-based carbon credit system in India, an NFT-driven conservation platform in Rwanda, and a smart contract-enabled aid payment system in Liberia.
